Pioneering Barnbrook Systems strengthened global partnerships and explored new collaborations at its first Dubai Airshow.
The Hampshire firm showcased innovative new technology, gamechanging fire suppression systems and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) capabilities at the leading international event in the United Arab Emirates

Managing director Andrew Barnett led the Barnbrook delegation which held high-level meetings with international clients and potential partners, attended networking events and shared insights and ideas.
The five-day airshow – with the theme of the future of aerospace – drew visitors from across the world with more than 1,500 exhibitors and 200 flying and static displays.
Andrew said: “We had an incredibly successful first Dubai airshow and agreed strategic partnerships with UAE and India companies, only possible with face to face meetings. “
“The theme of the airshow meant that we were able to make meaningful contributions to the debate about the future of aerospace and defence based on our proven technology and solutions as well as our ability to design and manufacture bespoke systems for contractors and clients.”
“At Barnbrook we believe in the power of collaboration so the airshow was an opportunity to develop relationships and further build on our global growth strategy.”
Andrew was joined at the show by Richard Dunn and Terry Alberti, directors of fellow technology firm Flair.
The two businesses gained keen interest in their E:BAG system for the safe suppression of fires started by lithium-ion batteries in personal electronic devices such as phones and laptops.
Barnbrook showcased such technology as its BlueCube© intelligent internet of things (IIOT) remote sensing and monitoring system and its smart refuelling switch for helicopters.
It also met with potential customers about its MRO services and capabilities to re-engineer and reverse engineer components for older assets to combat obsolescence and extend operational life.
The Dubai Airshow came as Barnbrook steps up its international reach.
It completed a trade mission earlier this year which included Dubai, Seoul, Calcutta, Beijing and Melbourne. The firm also opened new European and Americas offices in Prague and Fairfax County in Virginia, USA, over the past two years.
Dubai was the latest of a series of events attended by Barnbrook.
Strategy director John Bradshaw appeared on a panel at Venturefest South 2025 at the Utilita Bowl in Southampton, exploring technology resilience in the Defence and Space sectors.

He has also represented the firm at DSEI UK, Make UK Defence Attache Engagement Event, the inaugural Hydrogen South West conference, the Emergency Services Show and the Veritech UK Security Solutions gala dinner for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
As well as defence and aerospace, Barnbrook’s key sectors include rail, maritime, Green hydrogen, aviation and commercial industries.
Founded in 1978, the firm is based in Fareham, Hampshire, UK, with nearly 50 employees.
