Barnbrook, an independent business with nearly 50 staff, is a global engineering solutions provider which has aviation and aerospace customers worldwide.

Andrew Barnett, managing director of Barnbrook Systems, said: “We’re proud to partner with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance for another year.

“It is a charity that is close to the hearts of our employees, who all live, work and have families in the local area served by the air ambulance.

“Our business also has many aviation and aerospace customers and partners, especially in the Maintenance, Repair Overhaul (MRO) sector, so it is fitting to support the air ambulance in this way.

“Its missions make the difference between life and death so there are few more worthy or important charities.

“We’re looking forward to throwing ourselves into plenty of fundraising activities this year, including one of our very popular bake sales within the next few weeks.”

Barnbrook, founded in 1978, and fellow Fareham technology firm Flair raised £1,225 for the charity’s Miles for Missions campaign last spring.

The business also welcomed the air ambulance team into its offices in Fareham Park Road for a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training day to learn the lifesaving skill.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has a helicopter and a fleet of emergency response cars which provide advanced critical care to sick and injured people 365 days a year.

The charity’s Director of Income and Engagement, Keith Wilson, said: “Local businesses and organisations such as Barnbrook Systems are vital in helping us deliver critical care to thousands of patients every single year.

“As demand for our services continues to rise, we are immensely grateful to the staff at Barnbrook Systems for their continued support – and we look forward to another fantastic year of collaboration and dedication.”

Since its first flight in July 2007, the charity has responded to more than 22,000 emergencies across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

It costs about £17,750 a day to keep the charity’s vital services operational.

Barnbrook is  a regular supporter of charities and good causes, including sponsorship of STEM initiatives across Hampshire and the South.

The business, with offices in the United States and Europe, is attending the Farnborough International Airshow for the 15th consecutive time this July.
