Global engineering solutions specialist Barnbrook Systems is following up worldwide business leads after a record-breaking Farnborough International Airshow.
The Hampshire-based company generated significant interest in its gamechanging systems from major blue chip companies and prime contractors.
They included its cutting-edge BlueDot remote sensing and tracking technology for hydrogen, which was launched at the aerial extravaganza.
Also unveiled was its E-bag fire suppression system for lithium-ion batteries with business partner Flair – a UK first for this type of technology – as well as the latest generation of its innovative inflight refuelling technology.
Barnbrook, a founding member of the Farnborough Aerospace Consortium (FAC), is also to step up its ‘Engineering the Future’ talent and skills development programme for interns, apprentices and trainees.
The airshow, which Barnbrook attended for the 14th consecutive time, got off to a flying start when managing director Andrew Barnett met Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer on the opening day.
Andrew, who is also a board member of the Farnborough Aerospace Consortium (FAC), said: “It was our best airshow to date.
“There were a record number of visitors to our stand and a greater number and quality of business leads generated than ever before.
“We are now holding further talks with potential customers for our pioneering solutions, especially our inflight refuelling technology for helicopters, our BlueDot hydrogen monitoring system and E-bag.
“These have the potential to result in very significant business for the company and propel us to the next level of growth as part of our ambitious expansion plans.”
The airshow represented a relaunch of independent, family-owned Barnbrook based around its intelligent internet of things (IIOT) engineering solutions as well as its re-engineering of sunset and legacy systems for aerospace and defence.
Barnbrook’s team at the airshow featured interns and trainees to give them real-world experience of the aerospace industry and Barnbrook’s role in it.
